Kinder Gardening – Doing the Bees Work

My school age/kinders grew these lovely cucumber plants from seed. They have been patiently watching them grow and blossom.

They’ve also been doing the bees work by pollinating them using a little fluffy paint brush.

When we returned to the classroom this morning we found baby cucumbers!! My children were so excited to see these baby cucumbers, they are so proud of themselves.

With the help of the self watering wick system, we are able to leave for the weekend and return on Monday to see healthy thriving plants. I feel like the children have loved and learned from this experience! I personally can’t wait to see even more growth.
