Music Feeds my Soul – Boys Like a Little More Booty to hold at Night

I’m really loving this song right now. Embrace your size, shape and beauty no matter what you look like. What a fantastic anthem for any girl in today’s society.

Music Feeds My Soul – Long Weekend Jam

The song ironic came on in the car while driving to a friends trailer today. Kiddos and I were traveling down a back road so I instantly blasted it. I’m singing along and loving it. Completely in the zone, happy to hear kiddo in the back seat trying to sing along  Total flash back to my youth.

I sometimes swear my kiddos think I’m crazy but hey, it’s okay! We have fun listening to and singing along with all kinds of music.

Which song(s) take you back to your childhood? Comment and let me know!

Here Comes the Wrecking Ball

A comical conversation between my daughter and I…

Me: Can I sing at your wedding when you are all grown up?

Miss S: Yes, you have a pretty voice!

Me: What would you like me to sing?

Miss S: (pause) …. I came in like a Wrecking Ball!

Me: Laughing hysterically …….. are you being serious?

Miss S: YES!! I’m going down the aisle on a wrecking ball also!

I can’t wait until her circus, I mean wedding day!

25 Songs 25 Days: Day 25 – This is the end my Friends

I can’t believe it has been 25 days already! Time flies when you’re having fun and this challenge has been great. I’m a lover of music, so I have enjoyed writing these posts. I feel like there are 101 more songs that I should have included but I went with the first song that came to mind for each day.

To end the challenge, I share with you one of the songs that I could listen to on repeat all day. I remember the very first time I heard Who Will Save Your Soul by Jewel. I was in the car on the way to the beach with my aunt. I was really young, I just remember thinking wowza this woman has an amazing voice! I have LOVED this song since that day.

I hope you enjoy, thanks for following along with me!!

25 Songs 25 Days: Day 24 – Dance

The last song my best girl and I danced to was Ice Ice Baby. It was during a crazy ice storm that resulted in a two day blackout in our area, two weeks in other areas. That was just before Christmas 2013. We had our cell phones in hand playing music for our kiddos. It was a blast, the kiddos were dancing along with us having a great time. It’s been a while since, gosh I need to get out dancing with girlfriends more!!

Since I have included this song in my music challenge previously I am choosing to post a different song. My daughter and I have a little crush on Ed Sheeran, we danced around the kitchen to “Sing” this morning. What a catchy little tune!

25 Songs 25 Days: Day 23 – Pissing the Night Away

I can’t stand the song Tubthumping by Chumbawamba. I’m not sure why but I just know that it annoys the heck out of me. I think my older sister might of over played it when we were younger or something along those lines. I’m pretty sure it’s the female part of the song that drives me nuts! Scratch that, the entire song just annoys me ha ha ha. I feel like a negative Nancy right now as I am writing. Anyhow, for your listening pleasure OR displeasure I present Chumbawamba.

25 Songs 25 Days: Day 22 – I Stare at the Stars that Remind me of You

Oh young love, I was lucky enough to have the CUTEST first boyfriend ever!! I didn’t see it at the time but looking back at it, gosh he was sweet (until he left me while pregnant that is). I started seeing him when I was 18 and we quickly fell in “love” after like two months of seeing each other. I’ll always remember the first Christmas after we started dating. We were sad because we couldn’t spend it together, he lived about a half an hour away from me and neither of us drove yet. So he surprised me with a song that he wrote with his band, it was called “I Stare at the Stars that Remind me of You.”

The only lines I can remember ten years later are…

I stare at the stars that remind me of you
I can’t help but wonder of you think of me too

It was ridiculously sweet and part of the reason I fell in love with that crazy boy. I’ll never forget this beautiful memory, even though I have forgotten the lyrics to the song!

Since I don’t have this song recorded (only on cassette), I’ll share the most recent song that was sang to me. Last time one of my best girls and I had a few drinks she sang me a little song about peaches, millions of peaches to be exact!
